Most believers are usually puzzled with the idea of pleasing God making them go to great lengths to fulfill this desire. A common topic held among believers is conversations about things that matter to God. This has become a very heated topic among believers with many of them having different opinions with regards to the matter. Below are a few of the views from such conversations.
Trust; This forms a very important aspect of ones spiritual walk of life. In scriptural books such as psalms, it is emphasized that one should always trust in God in every situations and not rely on our own strength or even understanding. The scripture assures us that God will fight our battles and trample our enemies; we should therefore be courageous.
According to the bible, when Jesus Christ was on earth He performed numerous kind deeds to the disadvantaged in our society the sick, and poor who were shunned by the affluent in our society. This clearly shows that God values acts of mercy. Helping a needy person with a cloth or just a meal may seem small but in the eyes of God it is a great deed.
God rewards us with positions and wealth not to glorify ourselves but instead they should act as a constant reminder of Gods mighty power. This should make us humble as we go on with our day to day lives. By remaining humble, we get to please God and this will make any believer gain favor in the eyes of God.
God greatly values justice among those who are truly committed to him. In the bible, in the New Testament God appointed judges whose role was to help solve disputes in the most honest of ways ensuring his people received the fairness they deserved. This goes a long way in showing God greatly values an honest heart in all situations.
Remembrance and gratitude; God is after our desire to acknowledge what he has done in our lives. We should not take it for granted. This can be done by simple offerings or just a prayer to thank God for what he has done. A heart that remembers is one that touches God and by doing this we will surely have made God happy.
God values obedience more than the great deeds which most people strive to accomplish in order to please God. In the bible, the scriptures state that obedience is better than sacrifice clearly showing that even though we may want to do great things, a simple act of obedience is enough to please God.
We can easily please God with our day to day lives; however, for one to please God, it must start from within. The desire should be a driving force and at times it may require you to have a change of heart a price worth paying as doing the things that matter to God is the greatest desire of any believer.
