Of course not only the Bible gives some subtle hints about the origin of this man but even the Quran as well. The famous prophet Muhammad was said to have dreamt of this man one time. In his dream, he saw a man with one eye and is known as the Masih ad Dajjal.
He is said to conquer the world during the first days of the end times and spread his own radical interpretation of Islam. Of course he is also known as a false prophet who can work miracles and has a lot of charisma which can influence people. The world would suffer his rule for many years until finally, the Messiah would come to destroy him.
So by comparing the two texts, one could actually see a lot of similarities with regard to the events taking place and the people who are in it. In fact, the Muslims believe that the Masih ad Dajjal also comes from a land somewhere near Iraq which is known as Khorasan. Even if the land of origin is slightly different in the Muslim text, he still does come from an Islamic region.
