Why Do Women Sell Automobiles Better?

From time immemorial, salesmen have the reputation of being slick and dishonest. The trickery and deceptiveness of car salesmen have been brought out in such movies as Used Cars, and The Goods: Live Hard, Sell Hard. Of course any car dealerships have done little to counter that perception. For years, car salesman made their money on commissions. No commissions, no sales. No sales, no food, electricity, and rent. Thus the pressure was on.

Over a long period of time, the old adage Let the buyer beware has been in use. The thing behind this was that you had to be on the lookout when buying a car for your own interests.

Though most car salesmen are not what they are perceived to be, there are enough of this type that should make you wary when looking for your car. Car salesmen come in all types of manner, there are the smooth talkers and there are those that are straight. Still others will withhold information if you don't ask them about it. Also, there are women car salesmen alongside men. Do women make better car salesman?

It is a fact that many women are not for the idea to find a car using a salesman. At that salesperson is a woman, they are less likely to be apprehensive. A woman salesman would understand what the other woman desires.

In addition to this, women tend to exhibit a softer tendency of approach. This thus draws people who would have rather ran away making them better salesmen.

Women have the ability to listen better as they also want to be heard. For that reason women far more prefer a one salesman then they do a man.

A question that puts women down when they are buying cars is "shouldn't your husband me there with you?" Women salesmen do not do that. This does not happen with women salesmen. They suppose you are in the know of what you want when you come to the lot to get a car. To add, these women have also gone through this hence know what you are going through there an then.

Women understand each other better hence get to trust each other. Empathy is one thing that is very significant when it comes to sales. Sales is all about emotions and women are more emotional than men.

Many men deal with women salesmen. They get to think that women know less hence feel less threatened. That's an advantage to the woman salesman, especially an honest one, who just wants to do a good job and earn a day's pay.
