If the vehicle was made in Europe and you live overseas it can sometimes be difficult to find the spares needed to carry out these jobs. When searching for european automotive specialists there are a few places to look and they can be found after a little research.

You may find companies in your local area that specialize in working on European vehicles. These shops will usually carry stocks of spares and may have on site qualified engineers. In some cases parts will need to be ordered from the manufacturer overseas and occasionally there may be some delays in getting the spares due to the time it takes them in transit.

There are shops in many towns and cities that will stock what you are looking for. There are auto stores in Duluth, GA that carry large stocks of spares for European manufactured vehicles and some will also have mechanics who can work on your vehicle. They may also be able to supply you with components for older vehicles that are no longer in production.

Most spares shops will have a comprehensive stock of parts for cars of all ages ranging from the smallest components to complete engines and some will carry obsolete items. When buying new items it is worth taking the old or damaged one with you so that it can be compared to the replacement to avoid buying the wrong item.

Always make sure that second hand parts are in good condition before re fitting them to another vehicle.

These clubs are worth joining as other members will be on hand to assist you with your search for parts and you may benefit from discounts when using certain suppliers.

When replacing a vehicles parts it is always better to use manufacturers originals if possible and to only use fully qualified engineers work on your car. Non genuine parts may be available for some vehicles and they will do the job in most cases. If a vehicle is still under the makers warranty then only use authorized dealer mechanics and factory made parts to avoid cancelling any guarantees.
