Benefits Of Urban Christian Education

By Gregory Barnes

Education has been rightly defined as processes involved in instructing people on what is perceived to be right. It is also defined as the process of inculcating some principles which would be advantageous to the learner and the people around him or her. Education is never-ending as there is always something new to learn. But when you are engrossed with a new interest, it is right to do so only in a place that is recognized for such. For instance, urban Christian education should best be done in a school where the teachers have the required disciplines.

Everyone needs to be trained the Christian way even though it still can be argued that a child needs more of it for the betterment of the society. This is because the Christian faith encourages the possession of good morals which a greater percentage of the society finds adorable. When a parent sends a child to a Christian education center, he often lives to reap the fruits of his labor.

Your children will learn to say the truth at all times. Even when it does not look pleasing to them, they still would want to do so because they have been taught. This reduces your stress as a parent when trying to lecture them on the importance of being honest. This, in most cases, is difficult to handle by other parents.

The children of those parents who took the right choice can serve their community better. As public servants, they consider it an abomination to be involved in money laundering and other cases of corruption. When they assume leadership positions, their subjects look at them as the righteous that makes a city to rejoice.

Children with this kind of education can live more at peace with themselves. With two or more children in the house, parents have less burden in making the kids cooperative because the work has been well taken care of in the school. Issues such as selfishness and fighting which are prevalent among children would be far from those with this training.

When people are arrested for driving under the influence of drugs, kidnapping or blackmailing, it is not possible to see someone who was given a Christian training to be among them. As a matter of fact, such children are more inclined to being priests rather than being agents of societal problems. Apart from enrolling for the priesthood, they can become dedicated church workers because they find it easier to relate with the Lord.

It is not as if they would learn only the Bible. Of course, the institution knows that they need more than this. Their classes are mixed with subjects such as mathematics and arts so that they can easily adapt if they seek to pursue a degree in the university.

It would be an anomaly to send your child to a Christian education center whose teachers don't have the right to give Bible-based teachings. It is better to find a place where the teachers are born again as it becomes easier for them to also teach by example. If some old institutions are not functional in this aspect, parents should try the new ones after making all the necessary inquiries.
