Korea is a small peninsula, so most of their cuisines has a very wealthy seafood dishes. They are often prepared in various ways like being fermented, roasted, grilled, braised, boiled, raw and dried. If you are going to name something that came quickly to mind when you hear about Korean food, you will probably think on their barbecued meat, spicy foods and perhaps their kimchi.

Korean cuisines are considered as a defining element of their culture for many reasons. One is that, food is related to the overall environment of the country, the location and its climate as well as its geography. Most of the locals eat a lot of Korean seafood. Koreans are sea food lovers and seek out the best specialties of each region.

Koreans usually eat 3 different kinds of seafoods most of the time. They often love to eat dried sardine. In fact. This is not their main dish but it serves as a condiment to be eaten along with other dishes. Bowls of these are served at every meal especially during breakfast. Typically, dried cuttlefish is a recipe they cannot eat without. Dried cuttlefish is one of the most popular snack foods in Korea and even sold in vending machines.

One of the best dishes is the seaweed. Seaweeds are nutritious and useful that endures a very long winter season. Babies care usually fed with seafood soups. Traditional birthday occasions also include seaweed soup in their menu. Typically, there are hundreds of reasons why most people love to eat healthy food especially the seafoods.

For many years, people in Redondo Beach, CA especially the Koreans have tried and eaten products of the field, sea and the mountain because of the distinguish climate which makes Korean dishes more abundant. Most of their foods are exotic, special and particular. The most distinguishing feature of their cuisine is the spiciness. The basic seasonings include green onion, red pepper, bean, paste, soy sauce and a lot more have been combined in different ways of enhancing their dishes.

Moreover, individuals also love to eat red meat recipes and the most famous dish to Westerners. Usually, they like to marinate meats with soy sauce garlic, onion, and other seasonings. The marinated meats will then cooked for minutes over a fire in front of the table. Mostly, they love to eat short ribs of beef and pork.

Vegetable dishes are also popular in Korea. People usually eat more vegetables with rice than red meats. This is because, they believe that red meats can higher the risk of heart attack and other heart diseases. However, seafoods such as octopus, prawns, crabs and squid are highly packed with vitamins, minerals and fish oils contain Omega 3 best for the heart health.

Although most of the seafoods may contain higher level of cholesterol, but these are in the form of saturated fats. They mostly believe that eating red meats can increase the possibility of having heart diseases and other health problems., Therefore, eating seafoods are likely to have positive effects to your health.

Finally, research has shown that eating seafoods on a regular basis is quite beneficial to your healthy in different ways. Evidence suggests that a diet rich in fish oils can also help to protect you against serious diseases and can help to improve you life.
