Online Prophetic Ministry Discernment And Assignments

By Debra Murray

The spiritual gift of prophecy is an ability given by the Holy Spirit to some Christian believers, to receive and convey messages from God (1 Cor 12-14). We have a God-given responsibility to develop the spiritual gifts He has invested in our lives (2 Tim 1:6, 14). Have a look at the following article taking us through the theme Online Prophetic Ministry and how you can develop your spiritual gift of prophecy.

The gift of prophecy, as with other offerings, benefits from learning, training, and practice. The Bible teaches us that the life of our local church is the primary context in which we should develop and exercise our visionary gifts (1 Cor 14). If you would like to know how to develop your visionary gift, here are five contexts in which you can do so, along with some ideas to help you get started:

Accurate prophecies, healing, and other compelling demonstrations may make people think that these ministers are perfect. Many believe that people with heavy visionary anointing must be uniquely godly and with all their doctrine biblical and correct. This concept is not real, nor is it biblical.

Write down your visionary thoughts and experiences. Identifying which visionary words have proven accurate over time can help you sharpen your gift. Documenting your prophecies can also be useful if you would like to obtain advice or feedback from a mentor or leader; Seek out helpful resources such as Internet training, DVDs, and books that can teach you how to grow in your visionary gift.

On the other hand, if somebody has not then they necessitate to turn away from their wickedness or sinful self and back to Divinity. Now here is where judgment is desired in prophecy. Are we aligning ourselves with God so that He can dismantle sinful strongholds and restore people back to Himself? When we prophesy refurbishment are we trying to fraudantly sanctify the depraved actions and its spiritual penalties of those that God is arbitrating.

Spiritual gifts are given by the Holy Spirit freely according to His own will. No one can earn spiritual gifts with work or godliness. The awards or any other demonstration of power on a person are not given as a badge or a sign that God approves the man's spiritual maturity. No one can earn the gifts of the Holy Spirit by trying to consecrate himself. Everything is given by grace as a gift, just like salvation.

Growing in Visionary Ministry in Your Church Life (1 Cor 12-14): If there is a visionary group or prayer department in your church, it will benefit you to join it or at least connect relationally with its leaders; Ask your pastors or leaders for guidelines as to the best way to submit a visionary word for your church. Embrace any protocols with grace and enthusiasm. Guidelines exist to provide a safe place for both givers and recipients of prophecy (1 Cor 14:26-33).

Predictive Development in the Wider Christian Community: Look out for visionary training sessions in your community or region. You will receive most benefit when you can practice prophecy as well as receive teaching about it; you may also like to attend conferences where visionary ministry is a theme, or where a respected prophet or visionary speaker is ministering.
