Disadvantages Of Using Wire Wheels

By Kenneth Bennett

There are various erupting challenges to wire resulting to feedback by the various users who have used them in their vehicles or other moving objects. This challenge to wire wheels is mainly caused by their structure which is perceived to be delicate. They are made up of spokes being attached to the rim by the hub.

The first challenge expressed is that they accumulate high level of dirt which is difficult to get rid of when cleaning. This is because the spokes allow sticking of dirt materials such as leaves when wheel is rotating. This therefore means that the cleaner has to do a lot of work to get rid of the dirt on wheel. This ends up consuming a lot of time and water to clean.

The other wire wheel problem is that they are prone to rusting. Because they are mainly made up of rusting wires such as steel . Non rusting materials may not be used mainly due to cost issues and toughness of metal. They can rust due to contact with water. Rusting can bring about a lot of other secondary issues such as breaking.

They may also bend or change their shape. This may happen when it hit an object or jump in a dip or a pot hole. They also bend when a user puts a lot of heavy materials on them. Bending of change in shape is a dangerous issue since it can cause accidents on the vehicle. Bending also affect smooth movement of the vehicle . It may make the vehicle or bike unstable hence bumpy movements. Bending is difficult to correct.

They are heavy due to their components. This increased weight makes it difficult for the vehicle to move in a high speed . They also result to need of using more energy to rotate the heavy wheels faster. It requires high fuel. The heaviness of this may also end up damaging of pathways.

They also may collapse. This is because they are attached together mainly at the middle.in the instance of an object such as a metal object may stick at the middle when it is rotating hence it may result to collapsing wheel. This collapsing may result to accidents or falling if the vehicle was moving. It is also difficult to fix a problem on collapsing in their structure.

They also may be expensive to purchase and maintain since they are not commonly used especially for the vehicles in the new current times. Expensive to maintain since in case of damage on has to buy new wires . The high level of work in assembling means that they are also expensive to purchase.

To conclude, we note that there are numerous challenges to this. We noted that using it in vehicles causes them to be vulnerable to issues such as collapsing and bending. Therefore it is important for inventors to develop high quality wheels.
