By Roger Moore

The Episcopal Church is the 14th largest Christian denomination in the United States of America. It has around 3 million followers. The Episcopalian movement has a rich history. It was organized after the American Revolution. Episcopalians have made the world to be a better place to live in. They have taken the gospel to all the four corners the world. The Episcopal Church in Lake Norman NC plays an important role in society. This church is part of Protestantism. The Protestant movement was started after the Great Reformation.

All Episcopalian teachings come directly from the Bible. This is the holiest book in Christianity. Heaven and earth will definitely pass away with a great bang. However, no single word of Scripture will pass without fulfillment. Scripture has two sections. They first section is Old Testament and the second section is New Testament. The first book of the Bible is Genesis and the last is Revelation, which documents end times.

The main Episcopalian teaching is the teaching of morality. A Christian should lead a moral life. There is need to follow the straight and narrow path of life because wide is the path that leads to death and many people follow it. A moral person will strictly abide to the Ten Commandments. These should be the light of his feet.

Sin came to the world through Adam and Eve. The first humans disobeyed instructions and they ate the fruit of the tree in the middle of the Garden of Eden. They were deceived by the serpent. Since then, sin has greatly increased all over the world. Every human being has sinned and fallen short of glory. The good news is that every sin can be forgiven.

The good news is that there is forgiveness of sin. This is actually the age of grace. Anybody can be forgiven of every sin that he has ever committed. For that to be the case, one has to admit that he is a sinner and ask to be forgiven. Actually, forgiveness is offered to every human being free of charge.

After repenting, one should get baptized. This is the second birth. There is first birth and then there is second birth. The second birth is spiritual in nature. It involves total immersion into water. An individual will enter the water as a vile sinner and he will come out of it as a righteous person. He will become as white as snow.

After baptism, one will become a brand new person. The old chapter will be closed. There will be no sin that will be brought against an individual. The journey of faith will not be easy. That is the reason why prayer will come in handy. There is the need to pray without ceasing so that to overcome the temptations of life.

It is advisable to attend service on Sunday. By doing so, one will be able to congregate with believers from the different walks of life. Christianity is not a lone wolf endeavor. A believer should not merely be a Sunday or a Saturday Christian. There is the need to practice the faith all the days of the week. Most churches in America have weekday services.
