What happens when a tire is recycled?

Tires can be one of the largest sources of waste. Most of the states are dotted by large tire firms. It actually consists of thousands of tires. Most of these tires are of little use. They can be turned into ?crumb?. These are mostly used as filler.

Used tires generally take a lot of space and so is not preferred by landfills. As a result of decomposing waste material ,it can trap large amounts of methane gas. These tires then rise to the surface and become buoyant. The liners mainly keep the contents from damaging the groundwater in the area. Tires actually upset the process.

A number of companies is now starting to find more uses for these tires Ground up tires can be used as filler in landfills. This can also be used as a cap on landfills. These tires can be shredded onsite it is the only convenience.

Tires are also used in hot melt asphalt. This product is used in replacement asphalt. Those crumbs are also as filler in certain kinds of concrete. Many people use old tires around the home and in the garden. They are also used for making flowerbeds. The grindings are used as mulch in gardens.

The process of Pyrolysis is used to turn old tires in the fuel gas. The process of devulcanization is used to turn old tires into crumb. Devulcanization is the method commonly used for turning old tires into crumb. This material can be used in making new tires. The cost of raw materials is reduced.

The process works by heating the tires whole or in shreds, in a huge vessel, in an oxygen free environment. The rubber when gets soft breaks down into smaller molecules. The molecules then vaporize leaving behind the reactor. The vapors are burnt to use as a power source.

Most of the companies use this process. The process is used by companies to get a good source of fuel.
